We need to buy the fawcet and shower fixtures and I want something in style. Is Pewter more in style than brass or chrome now?

The really popular choices now are not so reflective. Pewter would definitely be the most update look of the three.
My favorites are oil brushed and stainless.

Whatever is “in style” now will be out next year. Buy what you like to look at.
All of my neighbors who put in that “oiled bronze” looking stuff are now whining that brushed pewter is trendy and the bathroom looks dated.
The “classics” are polished brass and chrome, with matching metal or white porcelain handles.

Brass is definitely OUT. considered an 80s look!
i agree with the other person, nonreflective finishes are what’s hot. Copper always looks good, brushed nickle, and a dull bronze.
classic styles that have a new twist is hot right now.
choose the right style for your house. If your house is victorian don’t go for the contemporary fixtures and vice versa!
