remodeling a bathroom could be very expensive no matter what but for what you are saying it sounds that you should plan for a budget of about 5 to 1o thousand dollars and remember that their will always be surprises that you will not expect but will have to deal with as you go along. Good luck with your remodeling project.

Habitat for Humanity has retail stores in most bigger cities. They sell donated building materials and fixtures. the one here is called the ReStore. You might also check the yellow pages for used plumbing fixtures. Good luck.

Hotty, remodeling a bathroom in a Mobile home will not cost that much. A new toilet a Home Depot around $110 a vanity with a cultured top with the sink molded into it also at Home Depot around $200. Plywood for the new floor depending on what grade of 3/4 inch can run from $25 to $40 a sheet 4ftX8ft. New floor joists depending how old your trailer is will be 2x6 and 10ft long cost less than $7 each. Now where you will have a problem is most trailers do not have a standard size tub in them, there smaller. If i remember correctly there 56 inch not 60 inch. I owned 4 Mobile homes as rentals and had to get a tub from a trailer salvage company for one bathroom. On another i just converted the tub area into a walk in shower by putting in a shower pan and dura rock on the walls made the curb and mud packed the bottom then tiled it all. I used same drain pipe it just was not in center of the shower and of course changed the faucet from tub to shower. If your doing the work yourself look at spending less than $2000.
I hope this gives you some ideas on cost and options when it comes to the tub area and if you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

work out how much you want to earn per day.
estimate how long it will take for each part of the job, allow extra for unexpected.
from that how many days work is in the job.
add cost of materials and time to buy them etc
then allow a margin on top.
this should give you a reasonable estimate for the total job.
Not a quote. as if you quote wrong you will be out of pocket.
by the same token you don't want to over estimate the job as they will go for someone cheaper.

The average contractor will charge about $80.oo /sq.ft. for a renovation like this.
If you do it yourself, it will run you about $35.oo to $40.oo per sq.ft. to renovate.

What if there is dry rot extending into the other rooms, or through into the main studs? Under the tub? What kind of tile? Underlayment? How far does the wire need to be run? Green board? Durarock? Grout? Are you charging for the material? How long has it been leaking? Is their black mold? Asbestos? Brown Recluse?
If you have to ask "how much", you do not know what you are doing!
Prices differ by location as well as material used.
I have charged from $100.00 to 12,000,00

You don't know what you are doing so you want to use this poor customer's house as practice?
I doubt you are going to get insurance before you attempt this remodel.
I also doubt that you will call for city inspections concerning the plumbing or electrical work you do since you are neither a plumber or an electrician.
You are just the type of fellow legitimate contractors get calls about from homeowners begging someone to come fix your mess.
Instead of contracting you should go to work for a contractor and learn the business before you attempt something you are not qualified to do.
Just because you have picked up a hammer or a crowbar doesn't mean you are a qualified residential contractor.
Just some free advice from a man who has been in the construction industry for thirty-six years.
