As you are learning, remodelling a bathroom can quickly become a major undertaking. If you don’t do things just right they can go so wrong. Depending on your local codes you may have to obtain a permit, since you are altering the plumbing system.
You will have to relocate the toilet, soil pipe, and water lines. The supply and drain lines for the larger tub may also need changing. You will most likely have to do some work on the floor too. If the toilet hooks to a black soil pipe you may be farther ahead to get a professional plumber in. For something like this they are worth their price. They have the rights tools and know-how to do the job quickly and properly.
Good luck!
